• Peewee: 11 & 12 Years of Age (2014-2015)
• Bantam: 13 & 14 Years of Age (2012-2013)

There are two tryout opportunities - one in March and one mid-August. Final team placements are decided after the August tryouts.

Mite (Birth Years 2018-2021):

• Monday, March 23^rd from 6:20-7:50pm

Squirt (Birth Years 2016 and 2017):

• Tuesday, March 17^th from 6:00-7:00pm
• Tuesday, March 24^th from 6:00-7:00pm

Peewee (Birth Years 2014 and 2015):

• Tuesday, March 17^th from 7:10-8:10pm
• Tuesday, March 24^th from 7:10-8:10pm

Bantam (Birth Years 2012 and 2013):

• Monday, March 16^th from 8:00-9:00pm
• Monday, March 23^rd from 8:00-9:00pm

Official practices begin the week of Labor Day and the league season ends with playoff finals in late February.

Practices and home games are held at the Center Ice Sports Complex in North Canton.

Games may be played across the CSHL region and may include travel for tournaments and non league games.

Teams practice for one hour 2-3 times during the week. Younger age groups generally practice at earlier times.

Some teams require additional off-ice training or films.

Teams play 18-24 league games from mid-October to mid-February (includes a preseason for divisional seeding).

Your team may also participate in 1-3 weekend tournaments over the year which offer a total of over 30 games/season.

Some teams will also schedule non-league games that could involve travel.

8U ADM/Mites play half-ice games.

CAHA plans to do a House at the 8u level again. Taking the place of 8u Blue. This give players more games, and less travel.

Players must purchase both a home and away uniform.

Uniforms consist of both a jersey and hockey socks.

This cost is separate from our listed fees.

Canton Akron Hockey Association (CAHA) fundraising efforts cover all CSHL league/ref fees, reimbursement for certifications for required coaching, purchases of equipment for team use, and other costs associated with the program.

● Red ADM teams are players that have the highest skill level and have played for a couple years. 6-8 Preseason games are held in October and 10-12 regular season games run from November through February. 

● White ADM teams are generally the next skill level down and are composed largely of second year players. 6-8 Preseason games are held in October and 10-12 regular season games run from November through February. 

● Blue ADM teams are usually reserved for first year players and those transitioning from Learn-To-Play. CAHA puts together a HOUSE league instead of participating in CSHL blue division. This program enables more ice time for new players throughout the season, without the needed commitments for travel. HOUSE provides typically two ice times per week, one practice and one game.
