Mite Nights

This summer, we’re excited to bring back Mite Nights for our 2nd year, welcoming all incoming Mite players for the 2026–2027 season!

Mite Nights are designed to give our youngest players—many of whom are just getting started—a fun and supportive introduction to real game situations through structured, competitive scrimmages ahead of the season start in September. It’s also a great opportunity for returning players to get back on the ice, build chemistry, and connect with future teammates.

Who can participate?

Mite Nights are open to CAHA families who are committed to the 2026–2027 season, as well as players currently enrolled in our Learn to Play Hockey program with approval from Hockey Director.

If space allows, a waitlist will be available for local players who are committed to other programs.

Schedule

There will be 6 Mite Nights held this summer!

We especially appreciate help with setting up and taking down the boards. Volunteers are also needed to run the game clock—an essential part of each scrimmage. No experience? No problem! We’re happy to show you everything you need to know so you’ll feel confident heading into the season.

Interested in coaching but not sure what to expect? Sign up and get a firsthand look at what it’s all about.

Have an older child (or are you yourself) interested in becoming a referee? This is a great opportunity to give it a try in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Mite Nights are also a perfect chance for players to try new positions—especially goalie—if they’ve shown interest!

IMPORTANT INFO

Although summer plans can be ever-changing, it is helpful for us to know in advance who is attending Mite Night for planning purposes.  We will set teams based on skill-level and the sooner we know who is coming, the better we can make teams and the whole experience.  Please sign up for as many as you can!  You do not need to register for them all at one time.  Reminders will be sent and the registration will close 2 days before.  Please register when you know you are able to attend.  As a reminder, the success of Mite Nights will directly influence future programs and opportunities.
